AirUK Joins ARC Settlement Plan

AirUK, Britain's third largest scheduled airline announces its participation in the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) effective April 12, 1993. ARC participation signals the carrier's desire to promote its services to the U.S. travel agency community.

Peter Lintner, USA Sales Manager for the Stansted airport based carrier says: "The state-of-the-art facility at Stansted airport is one of London's best kept secrets. Stansted can now be reached in 41 minutes via a modern high-speed rail link from Liverpool Street Station in central London. This compares quite favorably with access to Gatwick or Heathrow, and best of all, Stansted is an ultra-modern, uncongested airport. We look forward to welcoming increasing numbers of U.S. passengers to our flights and to AirUK's high quality service."

In addition to Stansted, AirUK offers frequent service from London Gatwick to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The carrier is also active in continental Europe, with a total of nine destinations. AirUK is actually the largest foreign carrier at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, and it is a partner airline of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which hold a minority stake in AirUK.
